Your student ID card is crucial for your time at Flinders University. It serves as your official identification, grants access to campus facilities, and displays your enrolment status. You can order your student ID card online 1 month prior to the start of your classes.
To order your card:
If you chose to have your card posted, it'll be sent to the preferred mailing address recorded in the Student System. Please check these details are correct before ordering your card.
Refer to ID cards for continuing students, ID cards for returning students or replacing your card if you have previously had a Student ID card.
If you've enrolled within the last day, there might be a delay before you can request your ID card. Typically, you can request your student ID card the day after you've completed your enrolment process.

Flinders has a range of systems, applications and platforms available to students. Some of them you must use, such as the Student System and FLO, while there are others that are available if you need it.
See below a list of the most commonly used systems and a brief description of what they are used for:
| System | Description |
| Compass | Compass if your personalised student webpage. Compass provides you with easy access to Flinders systems, your GPA and links to your course and topic information. |
| eduroam | eduroam is the wifi network used at Flinders. eduroam is a global wireless network that provides users with mobility between participating institutions’ wireless infrastructures, while removing the administration burden of managing guest access. This means you can use your Flinders FAN and password to access the eduroam network at any participating institution. This includes a number of health and education institutions around Australia and globally. |
| Flinders Learning Online (FLO) | FLO is the main learning platform and is the main system used for delivering your topic related materials. Each of your topics will have its own page in FLO and you will also have access to a range of other FLO topics that have been created to support your overall experience at Flinders. |
| Library FindIt | findit@flinders is a great place to start searching for information in our library – books, articles, videos, book chapters, and more. Login to save favourites, place requests, and more. |
| Mahara | Mahara is a personal online platform that stays with you for the duration of your time here at Flinders. It is an online space where you can join up the dots between different things and show progress over time, and a place to organise and showcase your work. It belongs to the account holder - this means you control all your settings and who sees what. |
| Office365 | Current Flinders students can obtain Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus through their Flinders account. Office 365 ProPlus comes with a full version of Office and familiar Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote and more. | Outlook | As a Flinders student, you are provided with a Flinders email account. We encourage you to check your Flinders email regularly, as this is the account we will use to send you official University correspondence. |
| SendIt - Off Campus Library Service | The SendIt service supports online in accessing physical library resources by mail or email, which supplements existing online access to the majority of the library’s books and journals. |
| Student System | The main administrative system at Flinders. You can manage your personal details, fees and financial information and enrolment in the Student System, as well as view your academic transcript, |
| Turnitin | Flinders University uses Turnitin as its text-matching software program. Text-matching software identifies either similar or exact matches between submitted work and other digital material. As text-matching software can also be a valuable learning tool, text-matching is also available to all students via FLO (Flinders Learning Online) for checking draft assignments. |
