Official University documents

    Overview My eQuals Transcript of academic record Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS) Testamurs (Parchments) Grade Verification Service

Your academic transcript is the history of your academic performance at the University and shows all topics studied, the grades received and your grade point average.  The transcript also shows credit granted for previous study and any prizes and awards that you have received.

Do I get a free copy of my academic transcript? keyboard_arrow_up

You will be provided with a free digital copy of your academic transcript after your conferral date (either at a graduation ceremony or in absentia).

If you wish to purchase a physical copy of your Transcript please follow the steps below.  Please note that copies obtained prior to your graduation will not include graduation details.

How do I order physical copies of my official transcript? keyboard_arrow_up

Physical official transcripts can be purchased online and in person.  Before you place your order please ensure that you have checked your unofficial transcript on the Student System for accuracy (ie: if you require completion details please check at the bottom of the transcript for "Completed the requirements for (degree) on (date)" and all results are finalised). ). If you do not have access to the student system, please contact Flinders Connect on +61 1300 354 633 or via email askflinders@flinders.edu.au. NB: The transcript will be processed and issued at the date of order. Please select your method of purchase carefully as there are no refunds.

Online Orders

Orders can be made via the Flinders Online Payments system, and will be posted to the address specified  in your order. Physical transcripts cost $25.00* each, with an additional $5.00 charge for postage ($35.00 for international postage).

To order your transcript

  • Enter your last name and Student ID. The system will then populate your first name and any currently applied sanctions.
  • If you currently have a sanction applied to your account, ie an overdue fee, you will be unable to complete your order until the sanction has been resolved.
  • If you select the delivery method of 'post', then you must include a current postal address for transcript delivery.
  • Once you have completed the order details click on the 'Add To Cart' button to proceed to the checkout for payment information.
  • Once payment is processed the receipt will be emailed to your nominated address. Please check the receipt details are correct.
  • If you require assistance click on the ‘Information/Need Help?’ tab.

Transcripts will usually take a minimum of three working days - to prepare and verify - before they are dispatched.

Priority service – in person only

A same day service for transcript orders is available. Please visit Flinders Connect on Level 0 of the Central Library building or City Campus, noting the following:

  • An additional priority service charge of $15.00 will apply to your transcript order (ie 1 transcript - $25 Transcript & $15 Priority Service = $40)
  • Photo identification is required (Student ID card or Driver's Licence)
  • If you wish to authorise a third party to collect your ‘same day’ transcript, please discuss arrangements with staff prior to collection. The authorised person will need to provide photo ID in order to confirm their identity before receiving the transcript.
  • Please note, if you studied prior to 2001 and/or your records have been archived it may not be possible to meet delivery deadlines.  Staff will advise you if this is the case and you will not be charged the additional service fee.

*Transcript charges are subject to change without notice.

Unofficial transcript

If you have access to the student system you may download a copy of your unofficial transcript by following the below instructions:

·         Log in to the Student System (through Okta/Compass)

·         Click on the 'My Exams and Results' tab

·         Scroll down to the bottom of the page

·         Click on the 'get my unofficial transcript by email' button at the bottom of the page.

A copy of your unofficial transcript will be emailed to your University email address. The unofficial transcript will be emailed in a PDF format. You can access your Flinders email account via Compass/Okta. If you are not a current Flinders University student, unofficial academic transcripts can be requested by emailing your request to askflinders@flinders.edu.au. There is no charge for unofficial transcripts.

How does the University protect the authenticity of my transcript? keyboard_arrow_up

Paper Documents

The University uses transcript paper containing security features to protect both you and the University from document falsification and fraud.

Features include:

  • Watermark;
  • Microprint (font size 1 only visible under magnification);
  • UV Security Ink (only visible via UV black light);
  • Bespoke hologram;
  • Audit number on reverse.

Digital Documents

My eQuals is a secure way to view, store and share your digital documents online.  All universities across Australia and New Zealand have adopted My eQuals to issue digital Testamurs/Parchments, Transcripts of Academic Record (Transcript) and Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS).

Eligible students and graduates can securely access digital documents and share them with employers, Universities, and other parties.  My eQuals guarantees integrity and authenticity by providing digitally certified documents that cannot be edited by the user.

How much do transcripts cost? keyboard_arrow_up

There are a range of options available with varying costs.  Our Flinders Online Payments system will provide you with this information as well as the ordering process.

*Transcript charges are subject to change without notice.

I am a completing student, when should I request a copy of my official transcript? keyboard_arrow_up

You will receive a free digital copy of your official transcript after your conferral date (either at a graduation ceremony or in absentia).

If you require a physical copy prior to graduation please take note of the following:

  • Students who require their official transcript for confirmation of completion purposes, such as  employment or professional registration  MUST ensure the statement: “Completed the requirements for (degree) on (date)” appears at the bottom of the transcript before ordering.
  • Transcript and postage charges will not be refunded by the University if a student orders their transcript without checking that the completion statement is included.  Students in these circumstances will need to re-order and pay the relevant charges.
Can I order an official electronic transcript? keyboard_arrow_up

As from 1 December 2021 you are able to order a digital transcript via our Flinders Online Payments system at any time.  Flinders uses an online system named My eQuals to issue digital documents.  Students can securely access their digital documents and share them with employers, universities, and other parties.  Fees apply to current students who have not yet graduated.

Digital documents will be on the current University templates and may vary in appearance from your original paper documents.

I have outstanding debts to the University, can I still get my transcript? keyboard_arrow_up

You will not be issued with an official or unofficial transcript while you have an outstanding debt.  Outstanding debts include overdue:

  • student contributions, where a HECS-HELP loan is not applicable
  • domestic tuition fees, where a FEE-HELP loan is not applicable
  • student services and amenities fees, where a SA-HELP loan is not applicable
  • international tuition fees
  • instalment plan payments, where applicable
  • student loan repayments
  • Flinders living fees and charges
  • library charges and fees.

Refer to the Students with Outstanding Debts Policy.
