Flinders University is committed to providing a safe, and respectful study environment and workplace for all members of the University community. This Code has the status of a policy and sets out the University’s expectations of students.
The Code applies to all students when they are on the University grounds or premises, or are engaged in any university related activities, at any location or online. It summarises the standards of behaviour and conduct expected of students that are defined in more detail iUniversity statutes and policies.
Where a student breaches this Code, they may be contacted by a staff member of the University to discuss any instances of inappropriate behaviour. Serious or repeated breaches of this Code may lead to a report under Statute 6.4: Student Conduct and may lead to a finding of misconduct and disciplinary action.

A Student Code of Conduct is being developed to support a respectful and safe learning environment for everyone at Flinders on campus and online. The Code will form part of the Student Conduct framework, which includes a refresh of the Student Conduct policies and procedures.
The Code mirrors the Staff Code of Conduct and is consistent with Student Codes of Conduct at other universities.
We are seeking feedback from students and staff to ensure that the Code reflects our values and fosters a positive University culture where everyone can thrive.
