The University has insurance protection in place for staff and students undertaking approved research activity.
To ensure your research project is covered you must:
- Obtain all necessary ethics & site approvals

Transporting equipment for research purposes
If transit of equipment is required as part of your research project, it is a condition of cover that you report the transit to Risk & Assurance Services.
To report a transit, please contact us via email. Please include the following detail in your request:
- origin and destination
- departure and return dates
- value of equipment
