Your Student ID card is an important part of life on campus.
You will use the same student ID card throughout your time at Flinders. Your student ID card will display whether you are a part-time or full-time student for the current Semester.
ID cards are an official, regulated form of identification, able to be used in governed identity checks, and each is fitted with a unique microchip technology connecting the user with the card. A card is issued upon commencement at the University to verify identity and ensure building and library access is restricted to the eligible user.
It is important to make sure you carry your student ID card whenever you are on campus as you will need it to:
*For after-hours access of the Central Library/Hub (before 8am and after 5pm on weekdays as well as weekend access), please visit on-campus security with your student ID card to get it updated. For any special building access requests, please submit Service One request.
You can order your student ID card online 1 month prior to the start of your classes by selecting ‘Order my ID Card’ from your Okta dashboard.
Note: If you have enrolled within the last 24 hours there may be a delay before you can request an ID card.
If you elect to have your card posted, it will be sent to the preferred mailing address recorded in the Student System. Please check these details before ordering your card.
Refer to ID cards for continuing students, ID cards for returning students or replacing your card if you have previously had a Student ID card.

1. Collect these either in person at Flinders Connect (Level 0, Central Library, Bedford Park Campus) or City Campus.

The staff at Flinders Connect or City Campus will check your enrolment and provide you with a sticker to extend your student ID card. If you enrol for semester one only, your student ID card will be extended until the end of that semester. You can extend your ID card for the remainder of the year once you enrol in semester 2 topics in addition to your Semester 1 enrolment.
