Student ID cards

Finances and administration Student ID cards

You will use the same student ID card throughout your time at Flinders.  Make sure you carry your student ID card whenever you are on campus. You will need it to:

  • borrow books from the library
  • load credit for photocopying and printing on campus
  • attend examinations
  • obtain an academic transcript
  • benefit from student transport concessions and discounts
  • access Flinders University buildings
  • attend student-organised functions.

Ordering your new Student ID card

You can request your student ID card online by selecting ‘Order my ID Card’ from your Okta dashboard the day after you complete your enrolment.  If you have enrolled within the last 24 hours there may be a delay before you can request an ID card.

If you elect to have your card posted, it will be sent to the preferred mailing address recorded in the Student System (via your Okta dashboard).  Please check these details before ordering your card.

Refer to ID cards for continuing students and replacing your card if you have previously had a Student ID card.

Collecting your ID card

When: 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, (9:30am - 5pm, Wednesday)

Where: Flinders Connect (Level 0, Central Library)

Ordering your ID card

Student ID cards for continuing students

If you are a continuing student, you will use the same student ID card you received when you first started at Flinders.  To update your ID card with a new expiry sticker you need to:

1. Complete your enrolment for the semester or entire academic year

2. Visit Flinders Connect, Level 0, Central Library, Bedford Park campus

The staff at Flinders Connect will check your enrolment and provide you with a sticker to extend your student ID card. If you enrol for semester one only, your student ID card will be extended until the end of that semester. You can extend your ID card for the remainder of the year once you enrol in semester 2 topics.

Replacing a student ID card

To replace a lost or stolen card, you will need to pay $10 via Flinders Online Payments and choose to have your card posted to you or to collect it from Flinders Connect.  Please bring your receipt and some photo ID with you if you choose to collect your card.

If your student ID card is damaged and requires replacing, please present the old card to Flinders Connect for a replacement free of charge.
