The Student Learning Support Service (SLSS) offers support to all students in the areas of academic writing, general study skills, referencing, and numeracy skills.
The SLSS offers one-to-one guided drop-in study support through the Learning Lounge (in-person at Bedford Park), online study support through Studiosity, programs to improve your academic skills, and a wide range of study resources accessible anytime through Flinders Learning Online (FLO).
The SLSS have developed many resources which you can use to improve your academic skills while you at university. Visit the SLSS FLO page to access the resources.
EndNote is a software designed to help you manage your referencing (and it’s free for Flinders’ students). For more information about EndNote, including details about how to download the program, please visit the student computing page.
The Student Learning Support Service has prepared an introductory video that explains how to use EndNote.
If you would like further support with EndNote, we encourage you to attend one of our drop-in sessions (in-person or online). The sessions begin with a refresher on paraphrasing and referencing as these skills are essential to master (even if you plan to use EndNote!) This is then followed by a session on how to apply referencing and paraphrasing skills using EndNote.
You can attend the full two hours, or just drop-in for some of the session. The sessions are informal and designed to give you the opportunity to ask questions and to develop your paraphrasing, referencing, and EndNote skills.
You can learn more about the content in these sessions below:
