You’ve set up your Flinders account! You're now ready to review your offer.
It is important you follow the steps outlined here and in your offer letter to secure your place in your course.
Some courses allow you to start the enrolment process without accepting the offer first.

Getting an offer from SATAC or the University doesn't mean your spot at Flinders is guaranteed – you need to officially accept the offer for most courses. If you are offered a lower preference course, SATAC will keep your higher preferenced courses active, even if you accept your offer with Flinders.
Offers may take up to 24 hours to appear in the Student System. If your offer does not appear, please try again later. Read your offer letter carefully for important details, including any enrolment deadlines to secure your place in your course.
If you received an offer to a lower preference, SATAC will accept the offer on your behalf and show that you still want to be considered for your higher preferences. You will still need to go to the ‘Accept offer’ page to formally accept the offer with Flinders.
Still need help with SATAC offers or direct offers from Flinders University?
Whether you've received a SATAC or direct offer and need support accepting your offer please contact us – we're here to answer all your questions.
If you don't want to start studying straight away, you might be able to start in the next available intake or defer your offer for a full calendar year of study. We can hold your place in a deferrable course for up to two consecutive years. See more information about deferring.

Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your mobile device. MFA adds an extra layer of security to your Flinders account by requiring a second form of verification in addition to your password.
We strongly recommend setting up MFA on more than one device. This ensures you have a backup in case you don't have your mobile device with you, or if it is lost or broken.
Congratulations on your offer to study at Flinders!
We trust you have carefully read and understood your offer letter, and you are ready to accept our offer.
To accept your offer, you will need to upload your signed Acceptance Form which would have been issued with your offer letter.
There may have been other documents requested as part of your offer, and these should also be uploaded with your acceptance form. Failure to provide all the required information may result in a delay in processing your acceptance.
Some courses may require you to accept your offer by a deadline due to limited places being available and this information will be confirmed in your offer letter. Ensure you provide this information by the deadline so as to not let your offer lapse.
Your acceptance fee payment is due once you have accepted your offer per the above steps to confirm your place in the course. You will be redirected to Flywire to make payment, and you can refer to your offer letter to confirm the amount payable.
Some courses may require you to pay a deposit by a deadline first to confirm your place in the course as there may be limited places available, and this information is stated in your offer letter if it applies to you.
The total acceptance fee includes your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). If you are pre-arranging your own OSHC, please ensure you provide evidence to us as soon as possible.
Once your payment has been processed, we will issue you with a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). Once you have received this, you will be able to activate your FAN (Flinders username) to start accessing University systems and services.
Your FAN is unique to you. Your FAN and password give you access to IT services, like email, the Student System and Flinders WiFi.
After you have activated your FAN, you are required to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your mobile device to increase the security of your Flinders’ account.
We strongly recommend you set up MFA on multiple devices, so you also have a backup if you don't have your mobile device on you, or in emergencies such as a lost or broken device.
Follow the link below to enable MFA on multiple devices and for answers to frequently asked questions.
*Note if you do not do this step now, you will be prompted to do this next time you go to log in to a Flinders University system.
Once your acceptance has been processed and payment has been received, we will issue you with a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). You must have a CoE to apply for a visa.
If you do not provide a complete visa application including your CoE, OSHC Verification Letter, a detailed statement of purpose and other required documentation at time of lodgement it may result in your visa application being delayed or refused.
Visit the Department of Home Affairs' Visa Finder to find the Australian visa most likely to meet your specific circumstances. To lodge a complete application for prompt assessment, please refer to the visa application information page.
An education agent may help you prepare a student visa application.
The international student guides contain information you need to know about making preparations for life in Australia, and studying at Flinders.
Once your acceptance has been finalised Flinders will provide a copy of the pre-departure guide.
Once you have confirmed your flight, please advise the International Student Services team of your arrival details by booking your free meet and greet. A member of our Arrival Team will greet you when you arrive at Adelaide Airport, the Adelaide Parklands Terminal (interstate train) or the Adelaide Central Bus Station, provide you with an arrival pack and assist you and accompanying family members with organising transport by taxi or ride-share service to your accommodation.
The following courses are not deferrable:
Applications for deferral will be reassessed according to the University's Genuine Student guidelines.
If you wish to defer your study to a later intake:
For more information, visit International Students Enrolment.
If you have enrolled in the course you were initially offered, ensure you withdraw from all topics before the census date to avoid incurring student contribution fees and a negative academic record.
Your preferences should include any and all courses for which you would accept an offer to study. While we’d love for you to study with us, if you get an offer to a lower preference at another university, you should accept the offer. However, when accepting the offer, remember to indicate that you still wish to be considered for your higher Flinders University preference(s). This will ensure you secure a place in a course you want to study, while keeping your options open.
Some applicants are made offers to a course on a conditional basis. The details of the condition(s) will be stated in your offer letter.
Conditions may include the requirement to complete the course you are currently enrolled in by a deadline and/or to maintain or achieve a certain Grade Point Average.
Applicants with a conditional offer will not be able to enrol in topics in the course until the condition has been met as per the details stated in the offer letter.
If you wish to be considered for another course, you need to respond to your offer through SATAC if it is not your first preference and/or change your preferences.
Alternatively, if your offer was made directly from the University, return to the Student System and submit another application for your preferred course.
