Welcome to your HDR candidature at Flinders University. Now that you've completed your enrolment, it's time to begin your formal induction.
To help you get started and meet the University’s HDR Policy and Progression requirements, you’ll need to complete two components:
Flinders University is committed to providing the highest quality education, guided by legislation and good practice principles.
The online induction is a self-paced module on FLO that takes around three hours to complete within your first 2 months of enrolment.
It covers essential information, resources, and training to help you understand your responsibilities and make the most of your candidature. You’ll also find a link to register for the upcoming HDR Induction Seminar (available each semester).
We also offer an extended orientation program to help you settle in. The program will help you prepare for life at Flinders by giving you the information you need, when you need it. It’s also designed to help you make new friends and learn about the support services available to help you succeed.
The Flinders Orientation Program, including O’Week and Connect Week, is designed to provide you with important information about university life, including:
Attending orientation events is a great way to meet your peers, and engage with teaching staff and support services you may encounter across your time here at Flinders University.
With so many events across the two-week Orientation period, you can kick start your journey at Flinders by picking the events relevant to you and creating a personalised calendar.
