HDR online induction

Flinders University considers formal induction to be an invaluable introduction to life as an HDR student. We are guided by legislation and good practice principles to ensure that you receive the best education possible. As such, you are required to complete the following components to meet the University’s HDR Policy and HDR Progression induction requirements, and to help you get started with your candidature: HDR Online Induction and HDR Induction Seminar.

The HDR online induction provides you with the necessary information required to kickstart your degree. The online induction is conducted through Canvas, the University’s Learning Management System via self-enrolment, and will take approximately three hours to complete. It provides information, resources and online training modules to help you understand the requirements and processes of a HDR candidature, and links to enrol in the next induction seminar.

To help you settle in, Flinders offers an extended orientation program. The program will help you settle into life at Flinders by giving you the information you need, when you need it. It’s also designed to help you make new friends and learn about the support services available to help you succeed.
