Program Title: Screen and Media HKAPA Film and Television Documentary Co-production

Program Overview: This project brings together emerging student film makers from Flinders University and HKAPA Film and Television to produce a series of short documentary films for a multicam television project.

Bachelor of Creative Arts (Digital Media)

Bachelor of Media
Bachelor of Arts (with a Screen Studies/Screen and Media Major)
BA Honours and BCA Honours (with a Screen Studies/Screen and Media specialisation)

Eligibility:
• Undergraduate and/or honours students who have achieved an overall GPA of 4.5 following completion of (or about to complete) at least one year of their current program of study (36 units).
• Students are required to attend compulsory post nomination session in October, a pre-departure session in December and a de-briefing session in February.
• In addition to participating the program in Hong Kong students are required to submit their completed documentary project and participate in an interview reflecting on their contribution to the project.
Credit: 4.5 units – students will enrol into SCME3012 (or SCME7059) and will receive a final grade for the topic upon completion.
Costs:
Return airfare between Adelaide and Hong Kong: approx. A$1200
Accommodation in Hong Kong: approx. A$1400
Meals, additional visits outside of the program, local transport, visa and passport fees, vaccinations and any additional personal expenses are not included in the program cost, but the majority these costs in Hong Kong will be covered by the NCP Scholarship.
A$3,000 New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant x 12 is available to eligible students.
Students may also be eligible to apply for an OS Help Loan up to $7,980 to study in Asia (2018 figure).
Note: Students who are ineligible for the NCP scholarship, may apply to attend as a self-funded participant. Both NCP recipients and self-funded participants may also be eligible for the OS-Help loan.

Interested students should submit an expression interest, including a 250 word personal statement explaining why they believe they will benefit from this exchange program, a CV (maximum 2 pages), and an unofficial transcript.
