Program Title: Science, Science Policy, Technology and Innovation in Malaysia
Program Location: University of Malaya (UM), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Program Overview: An intensive 3 week program devised by the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, UM. Two projects dealing with Network Theory and Cryptography, as well as master classes in Bahasa Malaysia and visits to sites of cultural significance will be offered. Science Policy, through the Malaysian Academy of Science in Malaysia will also be examined as well as Innovation in Malaysia. Plenty of time has also been set aside for you to explore on your own.
Program Dates: January 2018 (the exact departure date is yet to be fixed).

Open To: All currently enrolled undergraduate students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year in the College of Science and Engineering.
Application Deadline: A 1/2 page expression of interest should be sent to the CSE Office (Jacqui.hull@flinders.edu.au) by 5pm on Friday, October 27th.
Eligibility: Hold Australian Citizenship, be under 28 years old and have a GPA ≥ 5. Students must enrol in an approved Flinders topic prior to leaving for the program.
Credit: Acknowledgment of the New Colombo Plan (NCP) award on your Academic Transcript. Credit towards your degree program. The actual course to enrol in for credit will be advised later.
Costs: A $3,000 mobility grant from DFAT is available to assist in your costs. Students may also be eligible to apply for an OS Help Loan. Flinders University will provide students with complimentary travel insurance.
