Build a global network and add valuable experience to your CV with the rewarding six-week IRU Malaysian Internship and Study Tour 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a tour to Boneo (additional fess apply).
Placements are customised based on each student’s aspirations, skills and experience as determined through an individual pre-placement meeting. Examples of placement providers can be found in the program flyer.

Places available:
Two places for Flinders students within the IRU Network.
Costs:
- A$3,175: Familiarisation tour, 6 week internship in KL, accommodation, 24 hour support, some meals and events
- A$735.00: Borneo Adventure (4days/3nights)
Additional costs such as visa/passport costs, airfares, meals not included in the program, transport and personal expenses associated with participating in the IRU Malaysian Internship and Study Tour 2019 are the responsibility of each student.
Flinders University provides complimentary travel insurance to all students travelling overseas – details are available online.
Financial Assistance:
Financial assistance is available to eligible students to assist with the program fee and additional costs:
- 2 x $3,000 New Colombo Plan (NCP) Mobility grants
- Students can apply for an OS-HELP Loan are available up to $7,998 (in 2018)
