Program Title: IMT- Atlantique, Wasaa Summer School
Program Location: Brest, France
Program Overview:
The Embassy of France, in partnership with Flinders University, is offering a unique opportunity for up to 8 students to experience French culture, cutting-edge educational experiences, and industry visits. IMT-Atlantique offer a 3-week program (taught in English) which includes:
(Week 1) Immerse yourself in French courses, as well as company visits and cultural activities.
(Week 2) Allows you to choose courses and practical work in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Cybersecurity, RF Space Communications, Machine Learning, and Fibre-Optic Communications.
(Week 3) Students will work on small group projects in the research laboratories of academic partners.
Students with an interest in the naval industry are particularly encouraged to apply, the host IMT-Atlanique is one of the top ranked French Engineering institutes with a particular focus on marine applications. Eligibility:
Undergraduate students entering their final year of study from the College of S&E with a minimum GPA of 4.0. Students will need to have space in their study plan to access the (Table A) option topic ENGR7720 Advanced Studies in Engineering.
Expression of Interest (EOI) Deadline: 15 November 2018
Application Deadline: 29 November 2018
Credit: Students will receive 4.5 units of credit towards their academic program provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
Financial Assistance:
The €1500 program fee will be waived for Flinders University students.
Students will need to cover airfares, accommodation, and general living expenses. Students are advised not to book flights until they have received College approval and admission into IMT-Atlantique has been confirmed.
How to Apply:
The application process is comprised of two stages.
Stage 1 (deadline 15 November)
3. Expressions of Interest will undergo a selection process by the student’s College.
4. Selected students will be nominated to IMT-Atlantique after they have received formal approval for credit recognition.
5. Once you have received confirmation of eligibility and you have been nominated by Flinders University > proceed to Stage 2.
Stage 2 (deadline 29 November)
