Are you ready to take your passion for cinema to an international stage?
Step into the heart of Asia’s cinematic scene with an unforgettable experience at the Hong Kong International Film Festival, one of the most prestigious film events in the Asia Pacific region. This immersive program offers students the rare opportunity to watch cutting-edge films and stunning restorations, engage directly with celebrated filmmakers, film critics, academics, and festival programmers, and explore the vibrant creative industries of Hong Kong.
Beyond the festival, students will visit the esteemed Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where they’ll connect with local students, graduates, and academic staff through enriching activities and collaborations.
The program goes beyond just watching and learning—you’ll create. Students will have the chance to produce screen-based and written creative projects inspired by their experiences in Hong Kong and continue this creative journey back in Australia.
Additionally, students will deepen their understanding of Asian screen industries through a series of hands-on projects, including a film festival report, a reflective travel journal, and a research essay that examines the dynamic and influential world of Asian cinema.
This is more than just a study trip—it’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in a globally significant cultural hub, hone your creative and critical skills, and build international connections.
