Program Title: Investigating the history, culture, politics, and science and technology capability of Malaysia.
Program Location: National University of Malaysia (UKM), Bangi, Malaysia and Langkawi Research Centre, Langkawi, Malaysia.
Program Overview: An intensive 3 weeks program devised by the International Relations Centre UKM, where in weeks 1 and 3 you will undertake courses on Malaysia’s history, culture and political and economic development (including visits to sites of cultural significance). While in week 2 you will decamp to the Langkawi Research Centre to undertake research projects relevant to your undergraduate degree.
Program Dates: January/February 2018 (the exact departure date is yet to be fixed).

Open To: All currently enrolled undergraduate students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year in Archaeology and the College of Science and Engineering.
Application Deadline: A 1/2 page expression of interest should be sent to the CSE Office (Jacqui.hull@flinders.edu.au) by 5pm on Friday, October 27th.
Eligibility: Hold Australian Citizenship, be under 28 years old and have a GPA ≥ 5.
Students should seek advice from a course coordinator and must enrol in an approved Flinders topic prior to leaving for the program.
Credit: Acknowledgment of the New Colombo Plan (NCP) award on your Academic Transcript. Credit towards your degree program. The actual course to enrol in for credit will be advised later.
Costs: A $3,000 mobility grant from DFAT is available to assist in your costs. Students may also be eligible to apply for an OS Help Loan. Flinders University will provide students with complimentary travel insurance.
