Step 1: Update your profile
- Apply for a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- Provide your USI to Flinders
- Set up your Flinders email
- Get your Tax File Number ready
- Complete your finance forms/pay your fees
Step 2: Plan your studies
- Understand your course rule
- Review your course study planner
- Understand your elective and option topics
Step 3: Get enrolled
- Enter the year you are commencing your course
- Enrol in topics
- View your topic material
- Order your ID card
Step 4: Orientation
Once you've completed your admin tasks and requirements and have enrolled in your topics, it's a good time to get familiar with all Flinders has to offer, including where to get help, what services are available to support you and what the different systems and applications are used for.
Step 5: Start your studies
Once you've completed the above steps and are familiar with the information, services and support available to you, you're ready to start your studies. Even though you're an online student, you have access to all our services and resources, including the in-person ones, so if you're ever near one of our campuses, feel free to pop in.
