O’Week takes place the week before semester 1 begins (23-27 February) and is the ideal time to learn about university life, the details of your course and get ready to study. It is an important part of your university experience.

A great way to get familiar with your studies and to learn the ropes here at Flinders is to complete our online orientation topic, Finding Your Way at Flinders.

Attend as many O’Week events as possible

O'Week event information is available on our Orientation Planner 2025 web page (live from 7 July). We encourage you to create your own personalised schedule of online and on-campus events and activities. This is your chance to meet new people, learn about Flinders and your course, and get ready to study!

Once you have O'Week sorted out, remember to explore and plan the rest of your orientation at Flinders. We have a range of events and activities during week 1 of semester to help you learn new skills, meet other students and settle into life at university.

Six things to do at O'Week

O’Week is a five day festival held in the week prior to semester and is all about welcoming new students to Flinders and our growing community. It’s a jam-packed week full of university-wide events and activities, college-specific events, opportunities to make friends, discover the campus and settle into university life.
