Starting uni can feel overwhelming – but you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. This interactive session will introduce you to essential skills that will help you stay on top of your studies and make the most of your degree from day one.

We’ll cover:

• How to manage your time and avoid last-minute stress
• Simple ways to break down big tasks and plan ahead
• What critical thinking actually means – and how to start doing it
• Practical strategies for reading, note-taking, and staying organised

You’ll also learn about the free academic and wellbeing support available to help you thrive at Flinders. Whether you’re a returning student or brand new to uni, this session will help you start strong, stay focused, and feel more confident in your study habits.

Life at University is new and exciting, it’s like stepping into a different world with a completely different culture. As a new student, you may be thinking about the following:
