FREE body composition, mobility, balance and or strength testing, along with vertical jump and speed reaction time. For some of the tests, you will need to download the Technogym app to access results. No bookings required!

Mindfulness is about paying attention, on purpose to the here and now, so that we can fully engage with whatever is happening around us. ‘Mindfulness in a Nutshell’ will introduce what mindfulness is and isn’t and explore ways we can increase our everyday mindfulness skills and how this is transferable to having success with our studies. It will also answer any questions you may have about the various mindfulness programs that will be available during the year.

Starting from the Welcome Hub, follow clues to discover some of the most important locations to help you get familiar with Bedford Park. If you lose your way, don’t stress - getting a little lost is part of the fun! Head back to the Welcome Hub anytime and our Student Ambassadors will help you out. Go solo, bring a friend - or join up with others to tackle the hunt together (leaving every hour).

Flinders Mates connects university students through conversations and a range of activities celebrating the diverse cultural groups of the Flinders community. Flinders Mates is a great way to meet people from different parts of the world, make new friends, expand your intercultural knowledge and build global networks. Sessions are run by student facilitators creating a safe and casual space for people to connect. Come and enjoy an hour of fun and make new friends!

It is a guided mindfulness mediation and is perfect for beginners and seasoned meditators alike. One of our chaplains Dave runs the 30-minutes Midday Mediation every Wednesday and Friday.

Don’t miss the first Flinders Community Market of the semester! Experience the vibrant community atmosphere at Oasis run by dedicated student volunteers. It is an opportunity to connect with other students and best of all, you can access FREE bread, fruits and vegetables and purchase LOW-COST pantry items. The Flinders Community Market is held every Thursday from 11am to 1pm throughout the semester. No need to register, just rock-up. See you there and remember to bring your shopping bag!
