Spanish Study Tour to Peru

Embark on a transformative academic and cultural journey through Peru with the Spanish Study Tour, offered in collaboration with Griffith University. This immersive program is designed for students looking to deepen their Spanish language skills while experiencing the rich cultural heritage of Peru.

Through interactive learning and real-world engagement, students will:

Travel Scholarships Available

For eligible students, the cost program can offset by:

• RA Simpson International Scholarship AUD $500 (subject to meeting eligibility requirements)
• OS-HELP up to AUD $8,345 (conditions apply)

If you are an international student or permanent resident, you may still participate and be offered an RA Simpson Scholarship AUD $500 (conditions apply). If you are a Post-Graduate, commonwealth-supported student, you are eligible to apply for OS-HELP (conditions apply).

Program Costs (Indicative)

The cost of this program vary on the number of students confirmed for the program (combined Flinders and Griffith):

Please note, there is a non-refundable deposit of AUD $750 after committing to the program by Monday, 20th October 2025. 

The final balance is due to CISaustralia by Wednesday, 19th November 2025. 

Pre-program Inclusions:

• Extensive pre-departure support (documentation and online meeting).
• One on one support from our designated CISaustralia travel consultant at Flight Centre.

Onsite Inclusions:

• CISaustralia Onsite support staff to accompany group to activities and provide 24/7 emergency support.
• In-country orientation.
• On-site Spanish language classes and tuition.
• Transportation, visits, excursions, entry fees, meals as indicated by (B, L, D) – as per sample itinerary.
• Homestay accommodation with local family in Cusco: modest home with shared bathroom (separate beds).
• meals will be provided by homestay.
• Gratuities for guides and drivers, as applicable.
• The meticulous planning and coordination of the program.

General Exclusions:

• Management and collection of student payments.
• Flights – unless otherwise stated.
• Vaccinations / medical arrangements.
• Visa / passport processing fees (instructions for applying for a visa will be provided).
• Extras including additional meals and drinks, SIM card, laundry costs and personal spending money.
• Single supplement (where applicable).
• Travel insurance – all students and staff must have comprehensive travel and medical insurance.     

Flinders University reserves the right to alter the program cost at any time due to currency fluctuations and/or fee changes made by its partners.

All students participating in this program will be covered by the university’s travel insurance. Please note, this cover is limited. It is advised that you read the Flinders University Travel and Insurance schedule of benefits before you go, know what is covered and what is not covered.

Submit an Ask Flinders query to confirm whether you have room in your study plan to take topic TOPIC in S1, 2026.

Expression of Interest

Once your study plan is confirmed, submit an Expression of Interest to javier.diaz@flinders.edu.au by 5pm Monday, 25th August 2025 on the application deadline. Include the following information:

• First and last name
• Student ID
• Student email
• GPA
• Year level
• Program name (degree)

EOI Submission

Write a 300-word EOI addressing the following question:

• Why do you want to apply for this program?
• How will participating in this program benefit you and your study? 
• What are some of the skills and/or personal attributes that you could bring to this program?
