Improving nursing and midwifery clinical knowledge, skills and cultural understandings through overseas hospital and community experiences.
Can Tho, Vietnam
Nursing and midwifery students from Flinders University are invited to complete a 2-week program in Can Tho, Vietnam. Students will receive academic / placement credit for their overseas experience.
Students will have the opportunity to observe and participate in both western and traditional Vietnamese practices in local hospitals in beautiful Can Tho, located on the Mekong Delta river a four-hour journey from Ho Chi Minh City. The Flinders team of students and academics will partner with a local university to engage with local Nursing and Midwifery staff and lecturers, sharing knowledge, learning and creating industry connections (subject to local university schedule). The program aims to enable students to gain a different perspective from their time immersed within a new environment!

The approximate cost for the trip is $4775 includes;
Students are responsible for additional expenses such as passports, visa, vaccination, additional meals, extra activities, and personal expenses.
Students are required to register with Flinders travel insurance, which is provided free of charge.
