Dear Students and Staff,
In line with the Federal Government’s latest announcement on enhanced social distancing measures and slowing the spread of COVID-19 there are some changes being brought into our Library services.
Changes to Library spaces
Flinders University Library branches at Central (Hub), Sturt and Medical, will be closed from 8pm today until further notice.
Our library branches implemented strict social distancing measures last week, moving its services online, including access to online collections and appointment services, see below for further information.
Online Library resources
Access to Flinders Library’s online collections remain available 24/7.
Access to online support
Access to Flinders University Library’s services remain available during staffed hours via phone or online (via Ask Flinders)
Borrowing books
Access to the print collection is no longer available.
Access to computers and internet
We understand this will impact some students who require the student space to continue their studies and as such, we will be increasing the number of computers that are available for use by reallocating them throughout the Hub and Plaza and on Level 1 – in line with social distancing measures. The Sturt 24/7 computer lab also remains open at this time.
Our priority remains the wellbeing of our university community. Please keep an eye on our student and staff webpage for further updates.
Take care,
Prashant
