The team at the Student Learning Support Service is running a series of exam preparation workshops, using evidence-based revision strategies that work! These 30-minute exam strategy workshops to prepare yourself for your exams. Sessions run daily during weeks 12 and 13 and are available face-to-face or online. For more information click here. |

Allocated exam seating If you have an examination scheduled in either the Alan Mitchell Sports Centre or the Sturt Gymnasium, you will be allocated a seat number. Your seat number and further exam details will be sent to you via your Flinders email. Seat numbers will vary at each examination. It is important to know your seat number for each on campus exam you have, as queues for entering the exam venues will be staggered by seat number to ensure social distancing is maintained. No additional time will be granted if time is lost whilst confirming your seat number. |

O’Guides are current students supporting new students throughout their first few weeks of Semester. Scam warning for all students Scams come in a variety of forms such as identity theft, phishing, threats, money extorsion and often target individuals with offers that are too good to be true. Australians have lost over $8.8 million to threat based scams so far this year, with young people reporting the highest losses. These scams are usually phone-based and impersonate various officials such as police, ATO officers or government investigators. Campus Works Temporary relocation of the Sturt Loop Bus A new loop bus shelter is being built in car park 13. There will be a temporary relocation of the loop bus stop to bus stop 26A (western side of University Drive) from Wednesday 28 October. The new shelter will provide weather protection, boast solar panels, seating and phone charging facilities. There will be intermittent noise associated with these works and minor restrictions for both cars and pedestrians. Please take additional care in this area and follow any directional signange in place one work commences. For any assistance, please contact Security on 08 8201 2880. Sturt gym closure Friday 30 October from 7am, the lights in the main Sturt Gym Hall will be replaced with new LED fittings. This will provide a significantly more energy efficient lighting solution for this space. For safety, there will be no access to the gym while these works occur. Building roof works As part of the 2020 capital renewals program, essential safety works are being undertaken on several building rooves across campus. These works have been scheduled for the Sir Eric Neal Engineering building commencing on Tuesday 3 November and are expected to be completed by Tuesday 17 November 2020. During this time, you may hear people on the roof and there will be intermittent construction noise. |
