Keep Australia beautiful This week is KESAB’s Keep Australia Beautiful Week with the theme: Litter: Prevent the Spread, and we’re doing our bit all year long with our new recycling stations collecting your recycling, organics and general waste. The initiative includes an expanded organics stream to transform food scraps, compostable materials, paper towels and tea bags into garden mulch. It’s all part of the University's Sustainability Plan – Bold Ideas, Brighter Future, which includes creating a circular economy for waste on campus and growing more food at our University. Planting day at Flinders community garden This week is Keep Australia Beautiful Week. To celebrate, FUSA is hosting a Planting Day at Flinders. Come along to the Grow, Eat, Learn Community Garden at Bedford Park campus for a day of planting veggies, herbs and flowering natives. All Flinders students are welcome and encouraged to swing by for some gardening goodness. There’ll be the option to ‘adopt-a-plot’ where you can put your name on a planter box and it’s your very own to grow what you want for the semester. You can find all the details here. |

Celebrate with ISS: Origami Paper Crane Tree A Master of Social Work international student from Japan has initiated a project The Origami Paper Crane Tree. It demonstrates the traditional Japanese culture to build resilience, sense of belonging, and connections during challenging times such as now. It is beautifully displayed at the Central Library, Bedford Park campus at Flinders University. Go and check it out at the library. |

Renewing your OSHC If your student visa is coming to an end, so is your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). You will need to extend your OSHC in line with your new CoE for your new visa to be processed. Medibank is our preferred OSHC provider. If you are a Medibank OSHC member, you can renew your OSHC by calling 134 148 or simply renew your OSHC online or via your OSHC app. If you are with another OSHC provider, you can switch to Medibank by calling 134 148 or contact your provider to extend your existing cover. |
