NESB (Non-English speaking background) Cards As end of semester examinations approach, it is important that eligible NESB students have a valid card in order to receive variations to standard examination conditions. Electronic NESB cards for 2020 were issued to eligible students in early April. If you believe you are eligible for a NESB card and have not yet received one, please check that you have entered the following details on the Student System, via the “My Details” tab;

Your new Student Portal launching in 2020 We are now in the final stages of the Compass Program. The Compass team is working on developing a new student portal to be released in phases throughout 2020. The student portal has been designed with students for students. It aims to simplify and improve how you access and engage with support and services at Flinders, to improve student experience and success. New library chat service Need a quick response to a Library question? The library is up for the challenge. They are piloting a brand new chat service: Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm. Look for the chat icon on the bottom right of the Library’s homepage. Top tip: Library Chat works best using Google Chrome; it doesn’t like Internet Explorer. |

What is the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything? To try to keep their club community engaged and connected, Thinking CaPS has premiered a video series titled "42 Questions" which allows everyone to get to know the staff and students that you might see around campus, specifically down at the Chemical and Physical Sciences Building. Their first video premiering last week featured none other than the iconic Dr Ingo Koeper. Follow their Facebook page to keep up with their juicy content and future videos. Watch the video here. |

‘Take a Break’ with Oasis - Student Wellbeing Centre ‘Take a Break’ is a fun and informal conversation session led by an Oasis Chaplain every Tuesday afternoon 2pm-3pm. The focus is getting students together for a chat and to check in and talk about which ever topic comes up. The group is for all students. Feel free to come and go during the hour. All you need to do is enrol on the Oasis_Online FLO page and head to the ‘Take A Break’ module and join. They look forward to seeing you! |
