As a student at Flinders University there are a number of services and programs available to support your academic success.
If you are progressing well in your studies, fantastic! However, if you are still finding your way and not receiving the grades you had hoped for, Flinders can help support you. Head to the Student Learning and Support Service (SLSS) for a full range of academic support services.
The SLSS offers support to all students in the areas of academic writing, general study skills, referencing, and numeracy skills. As well as one-to-one guided drop-in study support, online study support, programs to improve your academic skills, and a wide range of study resources.
Progressing towards completion in your course can fluctuate over time and a range of factors can impact your ability to be successful. As outlined in the Student Progress Policy, Flinders aims to support your success through a range of services available and by guiding you to develop a plan to help step you towards academic success.
The Australian Government introduced legislation regarding specific academic progress requirements for all Commonwealth supported students as part of the Jobs-Ready Graduate package, effective from 1 January 2022.
Flinders identifies students who need assistance with their progress, using a tiered approach that provides tailored support. Regardless of your situation, you can seek help from our support services at any time.
