Connect Week takes place in the first week of semester 2 (22-26 July). A time to form connections that last a lifetime.
Connect Week (Week 1 of the semester) marks the beginning of semester and is the perfect opportunity to… connect! This week the focus is on connecting with your online learning world (getting to know and use your online resources) and, of course, connecting with students, staff and the broader university community!
There is a wide range of activities available on campus and online to engage and connect. You can view all Connect Week events in the Orientation Planner and create a schedule that works for you.
Welcome Hub
Visit the Welcome Hub on campus and say hello to our friendly student ambassador team! As current students, they can answer your questions and help you find your way around. Just look for the people in the yellow Flinders t-shirts.

Connect Week 2023 highlights
- Attend your first lecture
- Connect with student Facebook and Instagram channels
- Join a club, association, or sports team
- Read the weekly student e-newsletter, Ping! (sent Wednesdays
- Participate in one of the many Connect Week social events
- Walk around campus and get to know your classrooms, College office and central campus facilities (allow at least 20 minutes)
- Introduce yourself to someone
- Visit the Welcome Hub and chat to a student ambassador
- Participate in a Conversation Group online or at the Oasis Student Wellbeing Centre
