Add an international flavour to your resume by undertaking an AIM short term program in Europe, North America, South or Central America. Programs are offered throughout the year across various disciplines with programs varying between 3 to 4 weeks in length.

How to apply:
Step 1 Check eligibility with Flinders University
- Check if you meet eligibility to study overseas as a Flinders student. Note some AIM programs may have additional requirements.
Step 2 Check eligibility with AIM Overseas
- Submit your academic results to AIM Overseas for assessment of eligibility for the program you would like to apply for.
- Academic results can be an unofficial transcript or printable version of your results from the Student System. It does not have to be an official transcript but it does need to include all current, past and enrolled topics, full name and student ID number.
Step 3 Obtain a credit letter
- Complete a study abroad credit request form (DOCX). (Your college will obtain your course coordinator’s signature on your behalf once you submit Ask Flinders)
- Submit an online request via Ask Flinders to obtain a credit letter from your college.
- Scroll down and select "Request Support" at the bottom of the page. From the drop-down list >select Area> Overseas Study Application and Overseas Study Application Area> Short Term Study Overseas to submit your request.
- Attach your study abroad credit request form (DOCX) and any other relevant documentation.
*AIM Overseas will place your application “on hold” until you can provide evidence of approval
Step 4 Apply with AIM Overseas
- Submit your credit letter to AIM Overseas to confirm that you have obtained approval from Flinders University and are ready to apply.
- Follow AIM Overseas’ application process.
Step 5 Apply for financial assistance
Once the College Office has approved your request and provided you with a credit letter, you can submit an online application for financial assistance through the Student System.
