The requirements set out below are intended to facilitate in person learning whilst minimising the risk of COVID-19 infection and transmission within the university community.
Alternative online study options are available for the majority of topics that do not have mandatory in person requirements, this is an option of study in Semester 1 for those who are unable to study topics in person.
1. Students attending any in-person learning activity must:
a. wear a mask in all indoor settings.
b. maintain a distance of at least 1.5m between themselves and others, wherever possible.
c. practise good personal, respiratory and hand hygiene.
d. comply with:
- the directions of Flinders staff; and
- all laws, regulations and directions related to public health and safety.
2. A student must not attend any in person learning activity if they:
a. do not meet the requirements of the COVID-19 Student Vaccination Policy.
b. are feeling unwell or have any COVID-19 related symptoms, such as fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath.
c. have tested positive to COVID-19 or are a close contact of someone who has COVID-19.
d. have been at a high-risk exposure site where there has been confirmed transmission of COVID-19.
e. are subject to any government direction to quarantine or isolate.
I further declare that if I attend campus or another site for in-person learning:
1. I will comply with the In-person learning conduct rules.
2. I will not attend in-person learning activities in any of the circumstances set out in the In-person conduct rule numbered 2.
3. I either:
a. have/will receive/d the vaccinations required by any relevant COVID-19 Student Vaccination Policy and any applicable external vaccination requirements; or
b. have received an approved exemption pursuant to any relevant COVID-19 Student Vaccination Policy and any applicable external vaccination requirements and:
i. where that exemption facilitates my attendance at an in-person learning activity, I will abide by the specific requirements of the exemption; or
ii. where that exemption does not permit me to attend an in-person learning activity, I will contact teaching staff to discuss an alternative study plan; or
c. have/will conduct/ed a TGA approved Rapid Antigen Test within 3 days before attending an in-person learning activity and only attend if I have received a negative result.
