The most successful innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers don't avoid failure—they use it as feedback.

They fail fast, learn faster, and move forward with greater confidence. In this highly interactive workshop, students will experience how rapid experimentation, reflection and iteration can transform failure from something to fear into one of their greatest learning tools.

  • Friday 11 September | 10am - 1pm
  • Bedford Park | Alan Mitchel Sports Centre, Gymnasium

Discover how breathing, cold and heat can help you recover more effectively, regulate stress and better support your body through training, study and everyday life. Whether you're pushing yourself on the field, in the gym or through a demanding semester, your body is constantly adapting to stress. Training, competition and deadlines all ask something of your nervous system. Recovery isn't simply about doing less.

It's about giving your body the conditions it needs to respond, adapt and recover well. Join Flinders University Sport & Fitness this Wellbeing Week for a practical workshop exploring how breathing, heat and cold exposure can support recovery, improve stress regulation and help you feel and function at your best.

Breathwork practitioner and educator Kym Burls will explain the science behind these tools, when they're most useful, and the common mistakes people make when trying to use them.

You'll leave with practical breathing exercises you can start using immediately, a clearer understanding of how cold and heat fit into recovery, and the opportunity to finish the session with an ice bath.
