Exams to be held on campus and online this Semester Exams are coming up and this Semester, they will be held on campus (in line with strict COVID-safe measures) and online. If you have exams during this time, you’ll would have received your provisional exam timetable yesterdat, Tuesday 6 October. This will show where your exam will be held. Some students may have a mix of on-campus and online exams for different topics. |

Covid-safe exam venues Keeping students COVID safe during the exam period is Flinders’ number one priority and additional safety measures will be put in place at exam venues, in line with current SA Health guidelines. This includes: • COVID marshals in attendance • additional cleaning between exam sittings • fewer students sitting exams at the same time • strict social distancing measures • new bag storage procedures; and • new processes for entry and exit to the venue to maintain social distancing. More information about sitting exams and COVID safety measures will be provided when the final exam timetable is released by Wednesday 14 October. |

Don’t leave it too late to apply for alternative exam arrangements If you require alternative exam conditions due to a disability, you must make an appointment with the Flinders Disability Service to discuss your requirements and prepare a Disability Access Plan. The deadline to make an appointment has now been extended to Friday 9 October. |

Temporary changes to car park 21 As part of the Flinders Station Plaza project, there will be work occurring in car park 21. Work commenced Wednesday 30 September and will continue in stages until 16 October 2020. During this time the car park will remain open although there will be temporary changes to parking areas. Please ensure to take additional care when travelling through this area and observe all signage and changed traffic conditions. The College of Business, Government and Law PhD Top-Up Scholarships are available to high-achieving domestic or international PhD students who hold a university, government or non-government HDR scholarship and are selected based on academic merit and research potential. These top-up scholarships are available for business, criminology, government or law PhD students, and are valued at $5,000 per annum for the duration of a PhD degree, for a maximum of 3 years, with a possible 6-month extension. Make sure you have your NESB card for extra time in exams If you are an international student from a non-English speaking background (NESB), you may be entitled to extra time and other considerations during exams, if you have an NESB card. View NESB card eligibility. If you are eligible and don’t have a NESB card, you can get one by submitting an Ask Flinders request by Monday 12 October. Please make sure your personal details are up-to-date in the Student System before you submit your request. |
