Student Experience Survey The Student Experience Survey is a national survey which is being conducted for the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment. Your feedback is very important and will contribute directly to the quality of teaching and learning for current and future students. Students randomly selected to participate in the survey will receive an email invitation with a link to the SES survey. By completing the survey, you have a chance to win $1,000 We encourage you to participate in this important survey but your involvement is voluntary. Drop-in Learning Lounge Workshops The Student Learning Support Service will be running 50-minute Learning Lounge workshops from Week 3 to Week 10 of Semester 2 to help support you with your assignments. This year Flinders University is offering a whole new experience for Open Days. From 10 – 14 August, we’re giving potential students the opportunity to explore career options, listen to academics, browse through over 60 video presentations, take a campus tour, chat with study area experts, and more – all online! There will also be an opportunity to experience Flinders in the real world, with tours taking place at Bedford Park campus on Saturday 15 August in accordance with State Government restrictions. We’d love to give as many people as possible the chance to get a taste of university life at Flinders, so please share this email with any friends or family you think might be interested. Oasis online Whilst the Oasis Student Community and Wellbeing Centre remains open for some programs and activities it is currently closed for drop-ins. However, you can drop into Oasis Online anytime. Oasis Online is a sanctuary where you can engage in various offerings that are focused on your wellbeing and academic success as well as building the community. Programs such as Mindful Yoga will be resuming at Oasis so please keep in touch with us on Facebook and enrol in the Oasis Online FLO topic to keep up to date with the latest from Oasis. |

Art of Mathematics: Photography and Visual Art Competition To celebrate mathematics and its prominence in science and society, the Flinders University Mathematics and Statistics Society is hosting ‘The Art of Mathematics: Mathematics is Everywhere’, a competition for Flinders University students of all year levels to express mathematics via photography and visual art. Open for entries from 1 August to 31 August, the competition engages students with the mathematical sciences and highlights the inherent creativity of mathematics. More details and to enter. |
