Body Doubling at the Learning Lounge

Do you ever struggle to stay focused or get started on tasks? The Student Learning Support Service is now offering Body Doubling sessions. Body doubling is a productivity strategy where working alongside someone else—either virtually or in person—can help individuals, especially neurodivergent students, stay focused, motivated, and on task.

This is an open drop-in service available at all in-person and online locations during open hours*.

Speak with one of our Learning Advisors on arrival for support.

Learning Lounge Guidelines

The Learning Lounge is for the development of your academic skills. You can stay as long as you need!

Please use the space to work independently, but anytime you stumble on a problem, raise a hand and an advisor will come and help.

Do not expect an advisor to sit with you for more than a few minutes.
Construct your question for the advisor before they come to help you.
Identify the specific help you need so the advisor can best support you.
Keep in mind that advisors are there to provide guidance and are not there to edit your work.

The Learning Lounge is a safe space. Please engage with staff and students respectfully.

Learning Buddies are available online 24/7 throughout the year, even during breaks!

Study Buddy and Feedback Buddy are two intelligent tools designed to assist you 24/7 with your learning. Both are available with no usage limits, and can be used as often as you like.

How to access Study Buddy or Feedback Buddy

Click the button for the agent you’d like to use above to go to the Microsoft 365 webpage.
Log in using your Flinders account details – it won’t work with any other login.
You’ll see a box asking if you want to add Study Buddy or Feedback Buddy to your Microsoft 365.
- Once you’ve added it, it’ll stay in your sidebar for quick access.
- You can also pin it so it’s always easy to find.
When it’s added, just click Study Buddy or Feedback Buddy in your sidebar to start chatting.
