Industry placements at Flinders Criminology provide students with a real opportunity to gain relevant work-based experience; put theory into practice and help guide career choices.
It is an integral component of degree programs offered by us to develop the workforce and entrepreneurs of the future.
You need a number of compulsory clearances and to undertake compulsory training before being allocated a placement.
You will not be eligible for placement until deemed fully compliant.

A criminal justice honours placement can consist of one or more of the following components:
As a general guideline, students will have the capacity to satisfactorily execute only one of the above components within the 70-hour placement.
You must complete a minimum of 70 hours on placement and attend 4 x 1 hour seminars.
Our College has numerous partnerships with industry who provide student placements and the WIL team will match students as best as possible to suit your needs and the needs of the organisation.
Students who enrol into CRIM7303 will be sent an Expression of Interest form to complete.
Once received you will be required to attend an interview with the topic coordinator.
You may be required to engage in an interview process where the host organisation has the opportunity to meet with several interested candidates.
The host organisation will inform the WIL team of the successful candidate.
You will be contacted by the WIL team to discuss the outcome of the interview.
