Topic description
Students taking this topic will follow a supervised reading program on selected issues in Women's and Gender Studies to be chosen in consultation with the Topic Coordinator.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:
- Enable the student to undertake an individual study in a specialised area of expertise
- Develop the student's ability to research independently
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:
- Critique a body of literature relevant to the area of study
- Discuss one aspect of this literature using the advanced knowledge they have developed in relation to it
- Produce a document using advanced research and writing skills
