Topic description
In this topic students will continue to work closely with industry mentors within their creative teams to showcase their production and post-production skills in the finalisation of their Major Production Project.
Educational aims
This topic aims to:

  • provide students with advanced applied skills, and technical and theoretical knowledge to meet current market demands

  • provide students with the knowledge and experience to be at the forefront of the visual development process, leading to the creation of new media products and new conceptual approaches

  • develop students’ ability to seek, review and analyse critically feedback from industry professionals with the aim of improving their professional practice

  • provide students with high-level interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally and successfully in a creative team with clients and colleagues
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic students will be able to demonstrate:

  • the ability to interpret and apply information, theories, complex ideas and feedback in relation to their creative and/or technical practice

  • mastery of a range of creative and/or technical skills and the ability to apply these skills to the creation of new media products and new conceptual approaches

  • the ability to evaluate, analyse and reflect critically on their own practice with a view to continuous improvement

  • advanced knowledge of and an advanced skills in the use of relevant industry software and hardware used in the digital production pipeline
