Topic description
Students must enrol in and complete the topic REHB9101 Clinical Rehabilitation Research Project Design before commencing this topic.

The project involves individual reading and implementing a research project design in the area of clinical rehabilitation and its contributing disciplines. The work is to be reported in a research project report written in the form of a journal article.
Educational aims
This topic aims to enable students to develop the:

  • Ability to identify, critically analyse and apply evidence for rehabilitation approaches and techniques

  • Ability to implement and evaluate a research project in rehabilitation

  • Analytical skills to analyse current theories and approaches in clinical rehabilitation

Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic, students should be able to demonstrate:

  • The skills necessary to implement a research project related to clinical rehabilitation

  • The ability to effectively present the research outcomes and implications

  • Well-developed writing skills in the form of a journal article suitable for submission to a rehabilitation journal
