The purpose of this topic is to examine recent philosophical work on the nature and role of creativity and the imagination, including a particular emphasis on the role of literature and the creative arts more generally in philosophical reflection and, more specifically, in moral thought. Participants will examine how philosophy may aid our understanding of creativity and imagination, and consider what the creative arts might contribute to philosophy.
