This topic examines how organisational culture and structures constrain and support the use of evidence and research in health service and public health policy and practice. Students will apply organisational change theories to understand the barriers and enablers to using evidence to change organisations and influence policy and practice. Knowledge Translation and Exchange (KTE) theories are used to enable students to understand how to build in KTE principles to doctoral research. Students are introduced to the professional skills necessary to improve the use of evidence in policy and practice.
