This topic will build on the foundations of Human Physiology. It takes a more quantitative approach, emphasising homeostasis, and the integration between the different body systems. This topic will be suitable for students wishing to pursue careers in Medicine, Dietetics and Nutrition, or Biomedical Research.
This topic aims to provided students with a detailed understanding of how various body systems are controlled to maintain homeostasis
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic, students will be expected to be able to:
A comprehensive understanding of human anatomy and physiology at the individual organ and system level and the integration between body systems
An understanding of how changing physiological demands, including exercise and training, affect body systems
Skills in written communication.
