Students will be exposed to both theory and practice across a range of areas of practice management including office systems, work and file management, client relations, trust and office accounting and risk management. They will also review and develop their understanding of the professional responsibility and ethical obligations of legal practitioners. Students will participate in a 6-week placement in a legal office which includes undertaking various specified tasks. Students are required to reflect critically on their experience in their placement. They will also consolidate their skills in research of primary legal materials, including point-in-time material. The topic is studied within a capstone context which synthesises learning across topics studied throughout the undergraduate law degree.
