This topic includes the review of health and health promoting concepts and theories and the application of these to planning, organisation and implementation of various practices within a health, community or research setting. The topic includes a 120 hour industry placement where students will work within a health, community or research setting under the supervision of an experienced professional and/or within a multi-disciplinary team. The industry placement provides a Work Integrated Learning experience where students can develop and enhance graduate qualities in preparation for future professional practice. Students are assessed by the industry placement supervisor and the university topic supervisor on their application of work ready skills and understanding of professional and Inter-professional practice within a health, community or research setting. Opportunity is provided through written assessment to reflect on individual and organisational practice.
