Topic description

The purpose of this topic is for participants to develop skills to effectively communicate the results of their research outputs. The primary focus is the use of workshops and a conference to cover multiple modes of research communication in scholarly and non-scholarly settings. assessment to support and enhance student learning and identify valid learning outcomes. Participants will develop sophisticated oral and written communication skills, including the capacity to communicate their speciality to experts and the interested public.

Educational aims

This topic aims to provide participants with written, verbal and digital communication skills, so that they can communicate their research, and better analyse the research of others, in scholarly and mainstream settings.

Expected learning outcomes
On completion of this topic you will be expected to be able to:

  1. Convince others of their knowledge of, and expertise in, various modes of research communication in scholarly and non-scholarly settings
