This topic will examine climate adaptation and disaster management from a social scientific perspective. The primary focus of the topic is to explore human adaptation and resilience to climate through our interactions with space, place and environment. Students will develop their understanding of key concepts for examining climate and climate change and how these understandings can be used to respond to this problem in the context of concurrent pressures to society, economy and ecology.
