Students will be introduced to the methods of assessment and planning in supporting students with problem behaviours in a variety of educational settings.
This topic aims to:
examine the issues of assessment in behaviour in contrast to assessment in the academic curriculum
gain competence in completing a Functional Behaviour Assessment procedure
develop a positive behaviour plan from the outcomes of a Functional Behaviour Assessment
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of the topic students will be able to:
explain the methods of assessment and planning for students with behaviour problems
complete a Functional Behaviour Assessment procedure
develop a positive behaviour plan
