Course context
This topic takes place partly on campus and partly in the workplace.

Class contact involves the preparation, final debrief and assessment.
Topic description
Students undertake an industry placement. Students are placed and matched with placements according to availability and suitability or students can source their own placement with approval. Students are prepared for their placement, enter into a learning contract to guide the work integrated learning experience and are supervised.
Educational aims
The topic aims to broaden a student's knowledge and skills through a placement in a business setting. The placement experience is designed to help the student become more fully prepared for a business career.
Expected learning outcomes
On completion of the topic students should be able to:
  1. Develop personal goals to enable you to enhance your personal skills and competencies through observation, discussion and practice in a business setting.
  2. Reflect upon your learning from University and apply disciplined based knowledge and skills to a professional workplace.
