To be read in conjunction with the program of study requirements for the degree in which you are enrolled:
A student may complete a major sequence of 36 units in Theology by completing two Year 1 topics (9 units), three Year 2 topics (13.5 units) and three Year 3 topics (13.5 units) selected from the topics listed in the program of study below.
A student may complete a minor sequence of 18 units in Theology by completing one Year 1 topic (4.5 units), two Year 2 topics (9 units) and one Year 3 topic (4.5 units) listed in the program of study below*.
The Theology major aims to introduce students to Christian traditions and thought based on theology, biblical studies, church history, and Christian ethics while providing opportunities to explore the faith and its traditions in connection with other disciplines and within the broader context of Australian culture and society.

THEO1510 Interpreting the Bible (4.5 units)*
THEO1401 Rome to Reformation: Church History to 1500 CE (4.5 units)
Select 13.5 units from the following:
THEO2112 Christian Theology: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (4.5 units)*
THEO2220 Bible and Popular Culture (4.5 units)*
THEO2314 The Theology of Jesus Christ, Word and Saviour (4.5 units)
THEO2410 Reformation to Fragmentation: Church History from 1500 CE (4.5 units)
Select 13.5 units from the following:
THEO3112 Synoptic Studies; Engaging the Gospels (4.5 units)
THEO3113 Contemporary Spiritualities (4.5 units)
THEO3330 Religious Pluralism in a Contemporary World (4.5 units)*
THEO3331 Christian Ethics (4.5 units)
* Topics to be completed for the 18 unit minor sequence.
