The Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) requires 1 year of full-time study (or the equivalent part-time). The course is offered by the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.
Applicants must normally have a Bachelor of Creative Arts or another qualification which the Dean (Education) agrees is equivalent and an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5 or above.
A student who has completed all the requirements of the Bachelor of Creative Arts, or another qualification which the Dean (Education) agrees is equivalent, may be accepted as a candidate for the honours degree providing a sufficiently high standard has been achieved in fulfilling the requirements for the bachelors degree.
The Honours degree in Creative Arts aims to provide students with advanced creative, conceptual and technical skills and knowledge to enable them to produce and promote original creative work in their specific field, to instil high-level knowledge of the processes involved in producing creative work and the opportunity to implement these processes in their specific field, to develop research skills and knowledge to undertake research and artistic projects, and to extend knowledge about career pathways in the creative industries.

To qualify for the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours), a student must complete 36 units with a grade of P or NGP or better in each topic, according to the program of study below.

**Students undertaking the Program in Enterprise with the approval of the Honours co-ordinator may substitute CREA7001 Exegesis with an additional option topic from the list if not undertaking a creative artefact as part of their honours thesis.
