The Master of Education is a 72-unit program offered by the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work on campus and in distance mode.
The Master of Education is an advanced level coursework that extends the knowledge and skills of educators and educational stakeholders for applications to workplace contexts and/or pathways to further and more specialist knowledge.
The program is designed to meet the increasing demand for professional development for educators across a diverse range of specialist areas. It offers a cross-disciplinary program with a flexibility to enable breadth of study or a blend of specialised areas of study that enhance career opportunities. Students may design their study plan by selecting a minor or a combination of any topics available in Master of Education.

However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.

To qualify for the Master of Education a student must complete 72 units with a grade of P or NGP, or better, in each topic, according to the program of study listed below.
Upon completion of 18 units a student may choose to exit with one of the following awards, subject to meeting the program of study for that award:
The Dean (Education) may approve an alternative pattern or the inclusion of other topics from an appropriate Graduate Certificate or Masters program offered by the University or another institution.
