Make university life for a first-year student a little easier by taking part in this rewarding program.

We're looking for current Flinders students who would like to mentor first-year students in Law, Criminology, Business or International Relations and Political Science.

It's a great opportunity to give back, feel more connected to your community in the College of Business, Government and Law, and of course, to give first-year students the tips and tricks that you wish you would have known when you first stepped foot on campus.

You can add the experience to your CV, and you'll receive points towards Horizon and the Horizon Leadership Specialisation, too.

What to expect...

As a mentor

Gain experience with the application and interview process
Receive training about orientation and transition, university services and helping first year students
Develop leadership skills
Refine your oral and written communication skills
Meet like-minded individuals and grow your networks
Give back to your fellow students and university
Support first year students through their university studies
Receive a gift voucher upon successful completion of the Program
